| Who are we?

ESITC Paris is a state-approved public school founded in 1992 under the French law of 1901. It is a member of the Union des Grandes Écoles Indépendantes (UGEI) and the Conférence des Directeurs des Écoles Françaises d'Ingénieurs (CDEFI). Since its creation, ESITC Paris has been accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI) to award the engineering degree as a student and, since 2012, by apprenticeship. ESITC Paris was awarded the "EESPIG" label (Établissement d'Enseignement Supérieur Privé d'Intérêt Général) in July 2015, and since 2012 has held 1st or 2nd place in the independent EDUNIVERSAL ranking of the best engineering schools specialising in construction and civil engineering - Post-Bac

Our graduates are destined to become production engineers (technical, human and financial management of projects) or to take up support functions in design offices (methods engineer, pricing engineer, structural engineer, etc.) both within the largest national and international companies in the building and civil engineering sector and within SMEs. Their training enables them to progress naturally to management positions after a few years' experience (works manager, operations manager, sector manager, branch manager, property operations manager, etc.). After around ten years' experience, more than 25% of graduates go on to set up or take over a company in the sector. Well-known and recognised by construction professionals, our highly-qualified training programme benefits from a genuine network (companies, schools, alumni) and full employment on completion of the course

With a student body of no more than 400, ESITC Paris is a school on a human scale, with the support, supervision and high standards of teaching required for the diploma obtained. ESITC Paris offers a 5-year post-baccalaureate programme or a 3-year engineering programme (after obtaining a BAC+2/3 in Civil Engineering). The teaching staff comprises around a hundred permanent lecturers, teacher-researchers and assistants, 70% of whom are professionals in the sector

The preparatory cycle

This 2-year course is open to around sixty high school graduates from the Terminale générale, with a focus on science and STI 2D. It trains students in the basic techniques of the construction industry (general construction, drawing, topography, materials, site organisation, etc.), in addition to the essential reinforcement of their scientific base

The second cycle

Under student status or through an apprenticeship, the programme focuses mainly on teaching technical, management and communication subjects. It extends the study of specialised subjects and emphasises the completion of individual and/or group projects, including one in Research & Innovation, and the application of knowledge. It is open to our students from the preparatory cycle as well as students admitted on the basis of their qualifications, who have completed a BAC+2/3 course in Civil Engineering

| The grading system

One of the strengths of our course is the practicle of our student engineers' skills through the many work placements that punctuate their studies (up to 19 months over 5 years). A compulsory semester abroad enriches students' experience, and a research placement can also be chosen on an optional basis. There are also a number of other options, in partnership with French or foreign institutions, which can lead to a double degree, depending on the agreements reached.

For each year of the programme, all subjects are grouped into a number of teaching units (U.E.). The distribution and number of projects vary according to the year of study, and the teaching of 2 modern languages is compulsory.
A minimum average is required in each teaching unit to pass to the next year. Each validated E.U. gives the right to ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. One semester of study is equivalent to 30 ECTS credits. This European standard encourages exchanges and further study by our students in France and/or abroad, particularly as part of the ERASMUS + programmes.
Thanks to its close ties with construction companies and its various partnerships with higher education institutions in France and abroad, ESITC Paris trains engineers to meet the technological and environmental challenges of the future and the needs of a rapidly changing society.
