Conclusions of the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education in 2019

 

♦ The move has increased visibility in relation to the school

♦ the reorganisation of the Research division around the themes of Ecoconstruction and urban sustainability

♦ The very central place of the management and the studies department in direct contact with the students for governance based on close management with the teaching staff and students
♦ The school listens to companies when it comes to training student engineers
♦ Development of academic partnerships to enhance its courses
♦ The range of international sites for student-engineer mobility placements corresponds to current student mobility needs. New academic partnerships have been added to those already
existing ones  
♦ In terms of job surveys: speed of recruitment, good level of pay and diversity of first jobs well focused on the building and public works sector both under student and apprentice status
♦ Strong involvement of professional players (companies of all sizes) in training and governance
♦ Training of engineers in line with market needs
♦ Efficient proximity between students and managers involved in governance and training
♦ The professional development council is a strategic council that enables stakeholders to participate effectively in the development of the programme.
 
 
 
 
 
The HCERES is in charge of :
- evaluating higher education institutions and their groupings, research bodies, scientific cooperation foundations and the National Research Agency or, where applicable, ensuring the quality of evaluations conducted by other bodies 
- evaluating research units at the request of the institution to which they belong, in the absence of validation of the evaluation procedures or in the absence of a decision by the institution to which these units belong to use another body or, where applicable, to validate the procedures for evaluating research units by other bodies
- evaluating the programmes and degrees of higher education institutions or, where appropriate, validating the evaluation procedures carried out by other bodies
- ensuring that the evaluation of higher education and research staff takes into account all the missions assigned to them by law and their specific statutes 
- ensure that activities to disseminate scientific, technical and industrial culture are taken into account in the careers of higher education and research staff 
- evaluate a posteriori investment programmes and private-law structures receiving public funds intended for research or higher education
