From the outline of the project to completion, the works engineer (building and public works) is responsible for the execution and the quality of the works carried out. He manages projects of varying nature and complexity. Responsible for the construction or rehabilitation operation, from its launch to the final delivery, he designs and organizes the methods to carry out the work, the plans, the budgets while being in direct relation with the external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.) or internal to the company (design office, site manager, architects, etc.). He is involved upstream of work on the design and calculation of the sizing of structures and coordinates all activities and stakeholders for the implementation of a project. The methods engineer establishes the execution principles and operating methods of the project. He develops site methods in conjunction with the works teams. He organizes, plans and defines the means of installation of the site. He intervenes to help quantify the use of the equipment envisaged in the construction phase.


♦ The Pricing Engineer


The Pricing Engineer works with architects or construction companies to establish the overall price of a project. He takes care of quantifying all the costs and following the estimated budget once the work has started. He must establish all the resources essential to the realization of the project in terms of personnel and equipment. He establishes quotes and negotiates with service providers in collaboration with methods, technical or structural studies engineers. He is responsible for respecting the profitability of the project.


♦ The Business Engineer


 The business manager is a manager who supervises the works teams and helps them manage the sites while respecting the labor budgets that have been defined. He establishes the link between the various departments of the company for the proper execution of the site and ensures compliance with the budget, safety rules, and legislation. He encrypts the site in collaboration with the design office, validates the plans while planning the various stages of the site. He also establishes "the progress report, the economics of his site to his superiors, and the management control of the company". Finally, the business engineer has commercial skills since he represents the company to the client or his representatives and guarantees the link with the client throughout the site.


♦ The Quality, Health and Safety Engineer


 The QHSE engineer is responsible for designing and monitoring the proper execution of the company's policy in terms of quality, hygiene, safety and working conditions. He can also invest in a certification process. It defines the objectives in terms of quality and sustainable development (ISO standards), health and safety (OHSAS standards). He works on sites to train and support operational managers and ensure regulatory compliance. He controls compliance and compliance with QHSE procedures according to the standards in force.


♦ The Assistant Engineer, Project Management
